FAQS

HOW MUCH WILL MY COPAYMENT BE?

Patient copays are dependent solely on each insurance. Please contact your insurance carrier for more information on allowances and copays.

DO YOU PROVIDE SERVICE FOR ADULTS?

We provide services for patients ages 2-22, however, they must enter our program before the age of 16 to continue into our adult treatment program.

WHAT IS YOUR NEW PATIENT PROCEDURE?

New patients must complete a service inquiry on our homepage. Once completed, one of our intake staff will reach out to conduct an intake interview. This process depends on availability of services at the time of the inquiry. If no providers are available, the information will be kept in our database and we will reach out once a provider becomes available. We always do our very best to accommodate new and potential patients as quickly as possible. This, unfortunately does not chance the fact that providers are not always immediately available to service new patients. For this reason, we ask that new inquiries allow a minimum of two (2) weeks before contacting the office. If you would like to follow up after that time, please email assessments@aspects4behavior.org.

WHAT KIND OF GOALS WILL BE SET FOR MY CHILD?

At ASPECTS, we work collaboratively with parents and other therapy providers to develop appropriate goals for each individual patient. Through formal and informal assessments, we determine which skill gaps need to be addressed, such as potty training, social skills, or language development. It is important to our team that all key players be involved in this process so that we can make treatment as cohesive as possible, which is always the best course of action for our patient.

DO YOU HAVE A WAITLIST?

We do not maintain a waitlist, per se. It is highly important for patients to be assessed and for intervention to begin as quickly as possible. Since time is of the essence, we match patients based on a number of factors to ensure where a provider is available, a patient is there to be seen. While some providers' expertise is primarily with younger patients, some have more experience with adolescents. So, based on your availability, therapy hours needed, and other factors, we do our best to match clients to a provider who is the best fit so that there is less turnover and more continuity of services. This typically results in a long-standing relationship between providers and families. It can also mean that patients have little or no wait to begin. It is all based on the needs of the family and the providers' availability and expertise. For these reasons, we encourage families to continue to search out providers across the valley to best advocate for and fulfill the needs of their child.

MORE FAQS

HOW LONG DOES IT TAKE TO SEE RESULTS?

Each child's progress is unique. The amount of time it takes an individual to see progress can't be determined prior to services, but more details can be provided at the 6-month post treatment session. Providers use data analysis to determine the trajectory of progress. On-going assessments are conducted to monitor that progress and continually address skill gaps. Most importantly, factors that contribute to the best outcome, such as consistent treatment and attendance, collaborative sessions, and parent or caregiver involvement all play a key role in determining the progress of the child.

DOES MY CHILD NEED TO BE DIAGNOSED WITH ASD TO RECEIVE ABA SERVICES.

The short answer is no. ABA is a treatment widely used across varying disabilities. However, whatever the diagnosis, the child must have a prescription for ABA services or diagnostic report that specifies the need for ABA in order to move forward in the intake process.

IS CASH PAY AVAILABLE?

We offer cash pay on a sliding scale. If you are interested in this option, please contact intake@aspects4behavior.org to discuss your options.
